I find myself struck each year at how many members of my descendant have died fighting wars abroad while they were still young enough to be fathers themselves–and yet these valiant men are honored mostly only after their deaths because such things aren’t popular until death! When you’re honoring him (or her) make sure your children know what he did for us in their life.
