Jagame Thanthiram Movie 2023: Songs, Income, Trailer & News – News is a Tamil action thriller movie. This movie is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Petta fame. The movie features Dhanush, Sanchana Natarajan, AishwaryaLekshmi, and James Cosmo in lead roles. Joju George and Kalaiyarasan are in supporting roles. The movie was produced by S. Sashikanth under the production banner ‘Y NOT Studios. Santhosh Narayanan is for the music of the movie, while Tirru is the cinematographer and VivekHarshan works as the editor.
In April 2016, director Jagame Thanthiram Movie announced that he would make a film featuring Dhanush in the lead role, produced by the actor’s home banner ‘Wunderbar Films’. The gangster film was initially set in New York, and the makers ineffectively approached Hollywood actors Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino about playing a key role in the film.

Subbaraj later realized that the process of reaching out to the actors was difficult and that it was often difficult to get past casting agents. The rights for the films were later exchanged to Thenandal Studio Limited in April 2017, and the company selected to prioritize the making of other big-budget films such as Mersal and Sangamithra. In February 2018, S. Sashikanth of Y NOT Studios, regain the rights for the film’s production. In April 2018, Subbaraj revealed that he decided to make changes in the story as well as the location settings, to reduce the film’s production costs.
On 19 July 2019, Sashikanth officially announced the project, titled #D40 with Subbaraj’s regular collaborator, Santhosh Narayanan getting the music work, as well as cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and editor VivekHarshan, who worked with the director’s previous projects Jigarthanda, Mercury, Iraivi and Petta.
This movie will release on the OTT platform due to Covid’s situation. The official word was out from Netflix, who unveiled the trailer recently. While the movie is scheduled for release by the first week of June 2021, the censor details were revealed on 18 March 2023.
