God of War Ragnarok Update: Reviews & Download Free! God of War Ragnarok is arguably the most anticipated game of the year, and its prototype is a great example of why. A canon-respecting sequel and a significant series restart were both provided by Sony Santa Monica’s God of War, which was exclusively released for the PlayStation 4 in 2018. The most agitated protagonist of the genre was also transformed into a big, bearded father who teamed up with an AI teen friend.
A less impressive game would have flopped if any of these potentially disastrous decisions had been made, but God of War triumphed admirably and gave the series’ best installment yet. Kratos and Atreus’ first journey’s success and popularity placed it on the spot and loaded it with irrational expectations that pushed it to lower the bar. The father-son pair faces a hurdle that is as difficult as evading a horde of irate Draugar when you take into account that snooty fans have speculated that Sony’s plan to release it on both the PS5 and last-gen PS4 will technically hamper it.
God of War Ragnarok Reveiws:
God of War Ragnarok update 2.001 was released by Santa Monica Studio, and it appears to be exclusive to the PS4 version of the game, which is still at version 2.0. The primary purpose of this patch is bug repairs because the game just launched. What’s new in the God of War Ragnarok Update November 12 patch notes can be seen below (November 13 for those outside the US).
Reviews for God of War Ragnarok have been overwhelmingly positive, praising the game’s aesthetics, plot, and gameplay and hailing it as a deserving sequel to the ground-breaking 2018 edition. Although almost all critics have praised the game, there is always the potential for development. In keeping with that, Santa Monica has released God of War Ragnarok update 2.02, which fixes some problems with both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. The PS4 and PS5 versions of God of War Ragnarok are available, however, they are not all made equally.
Though the PS4 version of God of War Ragnarok Update should be in better shape following update 2.02, the PS5 version looks, runs, and performs better than the PS4 version. While the PS4 version resolves crashes that were affecting the game, God of War Ragnarok update 2.02 on the PS5 side makes nebulous “service changes.” God of War Ragnarok’s PS5 version once experienced these issues as well, however, they were resolved with the game’s day one update. Why PS4 users had to wait longer for the patches to appear in their game’s version is unknown.
