New System Facebook Reels 60 Seconds: On Desktop! With the new Facebook Reel function, we can now make and share quick videos with our friends. Facebook Reels 60 seconds is now accessible in more than 150 countries around the world after being made publicly available in the US in September of last year. The function, which is a crucial component of Meta’s answer to the TikTok threat, enables creators to cross-post Reels from Instagram in order to reach a larger audience.
Like Instagram Reels or TikTok films, Facebook Reels are brief 60-second videos. They show up on Facebook Watch or our news feed. Reels can be found on our Facebook app because they aren’t accessible through the website’s desktop version. There is a Reels tab next to the Stories tab at the top of our home page. We can view the reels that other people have posted once we select the Reels tab.
The process to see Reels on Facebook
- Facebook Reels 60 seconds are displayed in the news feed on Facebook, but we can only access them using the mobile app.
- To put it another way, not just from pages we follow, like the “For you” section on TikTok.
- we can get to them by going to Menu > Reels and selecting our profile.
- Similar to how it functions on Instagram Reels or TikTok, scrolling down will allow us to continue seeing Reels.
Editing Features to do Reels
Before posting, we can quickly and easily edit our Facebook Reels in 60 seconds using the built-in editing tools. Currently, Facebook offers a number of in-app options for making reels, including:
Audio: Include some music from our Facebook music library or take listen to other people’s Reels.
Duration: Facebook Reels ‘ seconds time length can be automatically set to 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or 60 seconds.
Speed: We can alter the speed of our Facebook Reels by 60 seconds by slowing it down by 0.3x, 0.5x, or 1x, or accelerating it by 2 or 3 times the original speed.
Effects: Utilize any effect from the Facebook Effects library. Some of these effects created by other Facebook users can also be used by you.
Timer: Utilize the countdown timer to record your Reel hands-free.
Green screen: To add a background from our camera roll to our reel, use the green screen effect.
In addition to these features, it’s important to know that we can record many clips and combine them into a single Facebook Reel by choosing them from our gallery or recording them.
Differences between Facebook and Instagram reels
- Evidently, they are not the same, since Instagram introduced reels in late 2023 while Facebook waited until late 2023 to introduce reels. There are some distinctions between reels on Facebook & reels on Instagram when comparing the two sites.
- In 2023, Instagram added more capabilities to reels, and the video quality is incredibly clear and doesn’t blur while being seen (except in locations with low bandwidth). On Facebook, however, reels begin to blur, which ruins the first half of the movie.
- Facebook does not offer the opportunity to share or upload reels on stories, unlike Instagram.
- Facebook Reels 60 seconds are restricted to 60 seconds; however, Instagram reels can be uploaded for up to 90 seconds.
- The advantage of Facebook reels is that you may view an Instagram reel together with the username of the page, but you cannot do so with Instagram reels.
- Facebook Reels are often inferior to Instagram Reels.
Facebook Reels 60 seconds may be made profitable by Facebook by using overlay adverts, which are shown as banners or stickers. The sticker is in the upper right corner and the banner is at the bottom of the screen. The viewer watching the Reel is not distracted by this advertising. They can take pleasure in the information without compromising its replay. By turning on this setting, Facebook Reels 60 seconds will display ads in your Reels that the viewer will find interesting.
